Blizzard Series: Five Flags Speedway, Pensacola, FL

Friday, May 24, 2013 - Locally, Pensacola's own Five Flags Speedway hosted the Blizzard Series. Anderson Subaru teamed up with Scott Carlson of Cantonment in the #21 car for the Super Late Models Rubber & Specialties 125. We had a good run but the track was dominated all night by Bubba Pollard and T.J. Reaid. Pollard's night started with a track record and unfortunately came to an end with a crash in turn 4. Reaid made the trip to victory lane and redeemed himself from the loss at the Snowball Derby last year. Five Flags Speedway Newslink.
Formula 1: Monaco Grand Prix

Sunday, May 26, 2013 - Early Sunday morning US time, the 5 red lights marked the start of the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix. This year's race sorted itself into the kind of talk you normally hear of NASCAR - debris cautions, wrecks, and unexpected lead changes (on a track that is notoriously hard to pass on). At the end of it all, in royal fashion, Nico Rossberg was left to hold the title for Mercedes-AMG, with the Red Bull team's Vettel and Webber on the lower sides of the podium. Indy: Indianapolis 500

Sunday, May 26, 2013 - Spins, flighty rear ends, and a win under caution mark the legacy of the 2013 Indianapolis 500. Tony Kanaan reached out for the win just before Franchitti's late race crash threw a caution. The slight lead over rookie Munoz and all day race leader Reay just before the wreck, secured the brick kiss for TK. Full USA Today article.
NASCAR: CocaCola 600 - Charlotte Motor Speedway

Sunday, May 26, 2013 -Multiple engine failures and a strange race pause due to a fallen TV cable mark the odd events of this year's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. NASCAR paused the race after the cable incident, unprecedentedly allowing the teams with damage to get their cars back to racing shape. Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. both ended the night early in the garage due to catastrophic engine failures. In the end, luck ran out for Kenseth and Kurt Busch (both of whom had good chances throughout), sending Kevin Harvick to victory lane and his 21st career win. Here is a quick recap from NASCAR…
