In January, Anderson Subaru and United Way of West Florida held an event out in Century, Florida to hand out coats for all ages and sizes of kids! United Way of West Florida is a non-profit organization that unites nonprofit agencies, organizations, businesses and people to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Through a partnership with Operation Warm, which is a non-profit that manufactures brand-new, high-quality coats and shoes for children in need, Anderson Subaru was able to provide 200 coats to children in need!

Our event was a day most will never forget as the children were able to write their own names in their brand-new coats! United Way brought take-home kits for those who may need them. These kits consisted of a reusable water bottle, toothbrush + toothpaste and other basic hygiene items. Each family was able to indulge in complimentary donuts, coffee, juice and hot chocolate as well!

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect because we had below freezing temperatures just a few days later.  Every child left our event not only warm, but with a huge smile on their face! We are thankful to have met each and every family that day!
